Accommodation

For all participants, accommodation on a shared basis has been arranged in the Institute's Guest House (Visitor's Hostel ) and VLFM Guest rooms in Hall 9 for attending the registered events during the conclave. Student accommodation will be provided at available Boys/Girls hostels respectively. Please note that accommodation charges and other expenses are to be paid by the participants.

Registration Fee includes only the meals and tea and coffee during the register events.

Participants may also arrange their accommodation at hotels in Kanpur/Lucknow. An indicative list of hotels with relevant information is available in the attached document.

Weather at Kanpur

The weather at Kanpur in January will, in general, be pleasant (will be cold ). Please bring appropriate warm clothing. There may be foggy conditions in the Northern Parts of the country and trains/flights may run late; so plan accordingly.

How to reach

Kanpur, a major city of Uttar Pradesh is well-connected by rail, road and air to all the parts of the country. The railway station is at a distance of about 15 km from the IITK campus. Please see the attached Travel Note.

The international airport at Lucknow (Amousi) is about 80 Km away from the campus. It takes about one hour and 45 minutes by a taxi drive. Taxis are available at the airport and can also be arranged on prior intimation. Typical hiring cost of a taxi to the campus from Lucknow airport is about Rs. 1200/- - 1400/-.
