Applications are invited for One Senior Project Associate under the project entitled “A solution based approach to the fabrication of novel chalcogenide glass microlens arrays  for the 6-12 micron  optics applications” sponsored by DRDO in the Center for Nanosciences, IIT Kanpur.

Qualification: Senior Project Associate should be M. Tech. in Material Science & Engineering/Nanotechnology/Laser Technology) OR M.Sc. (Chemistry/Physics/Mat. Science) with one year research experience.  NET/GATE candidates would be preferred.  
 
Desired Qualification: Preference would be given to the candidates having working knowledge of the lab equipments such as SEM, AFM, optical microscope, Optical Profilometer, Optical Lithography systems. Knowledge of geometrical and Fourier optics, lens design and metrology will be an added advantage.
 
Nature of work: Candidate would be responsible to perform micro-fabrication & characterization in clean room environment.

Salary Range:  18000-1800-36000

Duration of appointment: The post is purely temporary in nature and is for the duration of one year or till the end of project whichever is earlier.
