Post/position: Project Postdoctoral Fellow

Qualification: PhD (Completed) preferred from NIT/IIT/IIIT or reputed institute. Candidates should be under the age of 33. PhD students from IIT Kanpur are not eligible for this position.

Research Areas: AI, ML, Image processing, Computer vision, Deep learning

Problem Statement: This project is about "artificial intelligence in agriculture." It involves the development of smart AI-based plant (grain, leaf, and fruit) assessment devices as well as computer vision-based plant disease diagnosis, UV non-UV camera modalities for plan health evaluation.

Expectation and output: The candidate will join a project collaborating with the professor and fellow postgraduate students, requiring expertise in Python programming, deep learning, and computer vision. Expected outputs include research publications, CNN-based inference models, and smart agricultural devices. Candidate must be sincere, obedient, and hard working. We expect candidate to bring good dimension to the team.

Lab facilities available: High end GPUs, UV cameras, multi-spectral cameras and thermal cameras, digital microscope, digital telescope, underwater cameras, quadcopters, robotic arm, husky robot. Candidates can check the lab website https://home.iitk.ac.in/~sandhan/research.html

Duration: The initial offer is for 12 months and can be extended for another 6 to 12 months based on performance. There is no bond.

Consolidated Salary: 60000-5000-85000/-

Tentative Joining Date: January 2024 or February 2024.
