Applications are invited for the post of "Technician" in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. Post is purely temporary and contractual basis for a period of one year.

Technician: (Salary Consolidated) Rs. 14000 (pm)

Qualification Required: High School +ITI +9 year experience

No. of Posts: One (1 no.)

Required Experience: Job will require you to have lab scale expertise to handle electronic equipments, components and relevant hardware. You need to demonstrate prior experience in

1. Lab scale prototyping and Component mounting
2. PCB Enclosure deign, measurement using electrical/electronic equipments
3. battery operation and maintenance
4. Soldering and desoldering of surface mount components on PCB
5. Familiar with electrical test equipments.

The review of application will be in three stages:
Stage 1: Review of your CV against all the above 5 qualifications/experience
Stage 2: Shortlisted candidates in Stage 1 will be asked to appear for an interview
Stage 3: Selected candidates will be asked to appear a trade test in our lab. Their skills in experimentations, PCB handling and soldering will be tested and a merit list will be prepared.
