Applications are invited for the post of Project Post-Doctoral Fellow (one) in a sponsored Project entitled “PAHAD-3K” at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

Position:

• Project Post-Doctoral Fellow (ONE)

Essential Qualification: 

• Ph.D in Earth Sciences/Geology from a reputed university/institute with an excellent record of accomplishment and publications.

Desirable:

• Research experience in Limnology/Climate change with two years’ post-doctoral research experience
• Experience/expertise in conducting geological sampling in high mountain environments
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, good communication skills and strong publication records in climate reconstruction based on lake sediment proxies

Duration of appointment:

• The appointment for the above post will be initially for a period of one year, which will be extended if performance of the candidate is found satisfactory.
• The post is purely temporary and on a contractual basis

Salary Range:

• INR 47,000 + 16% HRA

Note:

• No TA will be provided to candidates called for interview.
