Position: Project Associate-I, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

We are looking for a qualified and motivated candidate with experience in experimental fluid mechanics, data processing, and computing.

Essential qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering
2. Experience with
   1. building and maintaining experimental facilities for fluid mechanics research
   2. calibration and usage of data acquisition systems
   3. overall conceptualization, design, and conduct of experiments, and data analysis, interpretation, and presentation
   4. data acquisition and processing related to particle image velocimetry (PIV)
3. Expertise in coding, especially image processing using Python, for implementation on GPUs
4. Proficient in the use of analysis tools/softwares such as COMSOL, Ansys, and Solidworks.

Desirable qualification:

Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a research group.

Consolidated salary: INR 31,000 pm.
