Advertisement for Project Executive Officer

Project Title: Development of a flash ironmaking reactor based on the direct reduction of iron oxide fines with H2-CO mixtures

Essential Qualification: Ph.D/ Master’s /bachelor’s degree with significant experience and expertise in the relevant area

Desirable Qualifications: PhD in Engineering

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience with high-temperature experiments, characterisation tools such as XRD, SEM-EDX and basic understanding on rate analysis for heterogeneous reactions
  1. Experience in ANSYS FLUENT, Matlab, Python and relevant programming languages.

Areas of Educational Qualification- Metallurgical/Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.

Salary: INR 63000.00 per month (Consolidated)

Nature of position: Full time, Contractual

Duration of appointment: Primary duration of appointment will be for 1 year which is extendable up to 18 months upon satisfactory performance after the first year.

Nature of work:

High temperature experimentation, Characterisation work, data acquisition, thermodynamic calculations, rate analysis.

Development of computational framework, running CFD based simulations, data analysis, post-processing, report writing etc. Should undertake any task assigned by the PI.
