Applications are invited for one position of Project Engineer, for a year in the ISRO-sponsored project STC /CE /2023664 titled " Development of efficient algorithms and a co-located system of low-cost GNSS receiver and corner reflector to improve SAR calibration and InSAR activities" at IIT Kanpur. A description of this position is given below:


Duration: One year (The term may be extended based on the performance).
Number of Positions: One
Minimum Academic Qualification: M.Tech (Physics / Mathematics/ Earth Science/ Geoinformatics/ Electronics/ Computer Science)
OR
Three years of relevant experience after B.Tech (Civil/Geoinformatics/Electronics/Computer Science)
Desirable: Candidate should have research experience in the area of Radar Remote Sensing and be familiar with using different geodetic instruments and software. Good mathematical skills and programming proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. MATLAB, C/C++, Python, FORTRAN) are necessary. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent writing and communication skills.
Nature of job: The candidate may be required to develop programs for Radar and GNSS data pre-processing, analysis, and sharing of data collected from multiple Corner Reflectors. He / She would be responsible for Radar and GNSS data handling and pre-processing.
Salary: Rs. 31,600-2600-78400 +18% HRA
Other Facility: The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a conducive environment and may be eligible for suitable accommodation at IIT Kanpur, subject to availability. Outpatient department (OPD) services will be available for the candidate at the Health Centre of IIT Kanpur.
