Applications are invited for one position of Senior Project Engineer, for a period of one year in the ISRO-sponsored project STC /CE /2023664D titled "Development of efficient algorithms and a co-located system of low-cost GNSS receiver and corner reflector to improve SAR calibration and InSAR activities" at IIT Kanpur. Description about this position is given below:

Duration:

One year (The term may be extended by one more year based on the performance).

Minimum Academic Qualification:

Ph.D (Physics / Mathematics/ Earth Science/ Geoinformatics/ Electronics/ Computer Science)
OR
Three years of relevant experience after M.Tech (Physics / Mathematics/ Earth Science/ Geoinformatics/ Electronics/ Computer Science)
OR
Five years of relevant experience after B.Tech (Civil/ Geoinformatics/ Electronics/ Computer Science)

Desirable:

Candidate should have prior research experience in the area of Radar Remote Sensing and should be familiar with the use of different geodetic instruments and software. Good mathematical skills and programming proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. MATLAB, C/C++, Python, FORTRAN) is necessary. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent writing and communication skills.

Nature of job:

The candidate may be required to develop programs for Radar and GNSS data pre-processing, analysis and sharing of data collected from multiple Corner Reflectors. He / She would be responsible for Radar and GNSS data handling and pre-processing.

Salary:

Rs. 32,400-2700-81000 +16% HRA
