Position- Two Project Engineers

Applications are invited for a project engineer position in the International project on “A Condition monitoring system with multi-agent mechanism for external non-contact smart inspection of buried oil and gas pipelines”. The period of employment is for one year. Competitive salary will be provided to the selected candidates.

Project Details: This GRC-ADNOC, Abu Dhabi funded project will develop a smart multi-agent non-contact external inspection system, which will be used for condition monitoring and defect inspection in the buried oil and gas pipelines, made of metals. Autonomous ground vehicle capable of moving un-even terrain and interfaced with suitable sensors including GPS will follow the track of buried pipe-lines. This AGV will be supported by a UAV flying at the height of approximately 1 meter above the ground level. Thus a proper cooperative system involving AGV and UAV capable of performing condition monitoring of the pipelines needs to be developed.

The ideal candidate for the project engineer position should have following qualifications:

Salary : Rs.40,000/- per month

  • A recent MTech degree in control systems
  • A good knowledge of quad-rotors (dynamics and control) or Mobile robotics
  • Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Familiarity with experimental platforms involving UAV/AGV

All selected candidates are required to visit Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi, UAE from time to time. Last date for the receipt of application: 30th July, 2017.

Interested candidates can send their CVs along with their references to kumarrai83@gmail.com.
