Description: The project involves characterization, experimentation and simulations of industrial granular feed containing particles of a wide size range and of various shapes. The flow and packing characteristics of the feed components will be investigated through experiments (involves imaging and analysis) and DEM simulations.

Project Engineer
Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of either M. Tech. (or B.Tech + 3 years relevant experience) in "Chemical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering" with expertise in "Fluid Mechanics/Rheology/Granular Materials/Bulk Solids Handling" are eligible for the advertised position.
Salary: Rs. 22000/- per month (consolidated)
Desired: Profound knowledge of C & C++ Programming and Matlab, Experience/Exposure of DEM packages (EDEM/LIGGGHTS or LAMMPS), Experiments involving granular materials/imaging.
Project Associate
Minimum Qualifications: B. Tech. in "Chemical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering" with GATE. Candidates with M.Sc. in Physics/Applied Mathematics are also eligible for the advertised position.
Salary: Rs. 15000/- per month (consolidated)
Essential: Good knowledge of C & C++ Programming, Experience with Matlab and exposure to DEM packages (EDEM/LIGGGHTS or LAMMPS).
Candidates are expected to have a good mathematical background and experience with computer simulations. Selected candidate is required to visit TATA Steel, Jamshedpur from time to time.
