Applications are invited for a temporary & contractual post of Project Scientist under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at SCDT, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: PhD or (M.Sc + 3 Yrs of Exp.) / M.Tech or (B.Tech. + 3 Yrs of Exp)

Desirable Qualification and Experience:

  • B.Tech or M.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Polymer Science and Technology/ Material Science & Engineering/ Print and Media Technology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sensing film and metal contact electrode fabrication using inkjet printing, screen-printing,​and flexographic printing for various sensing applications.
  • Hands-on experience with characterization techniques such as viscometry, profilometry, optical microscopy, sheet resistance measurements, adhesion test, and electrical measurements.
  • Hands-on experience in sample analysis using the headspace-GCMS system and preparation of analysis reports.
  • Apply scientific knowledge to various projects while following checklists, SOPs, and other internal regulations.
  • Analyze experimental data, evaluate results, form conclusions,​and implement process improvement.
  • Optimize process parameters and troubleshoot technical issues for process repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Maintain complete and comprehensive records of experimental results.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Salary: Rs. 31600-2600-78400/- (per month based on qualification)

Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year or end of the project, whichever is earlier
