Installation Instructions For BlueJ

Install jdk1.3.x on your system.
- Download the bluej installation package(use "Save Link As" which you get when you right-click or shift-click the link given above, just clicking does not work in some browsers).
- Check file size, it should be 694,700 bytes.
- Installation
Linux -> Run the installer by executing java -jar bluej-114.jar
Windows -> Double-click the install file i.e bluej-114.jar. If the system is not configured to run .jar files, open DOS command follow the instructions for Linux.
- In the installer, select your installer directory and your JDK directory and install. Note: The blueJ path must not contain spaces.
In your bluej directory, you will find a file called bluej(Linux) or bluej.bat(Windows). Run this file to run BlueJ.
- Optionally, you could remove the installer file bluej-114.jar, if you do not wish to make any further installations.
