Vacancy for One Project Associate
Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc with 1 Year of Experience
Areas of Educational Qualification: Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, Climate Sciences, Data Science, Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning or closely related field.
Required skills: Matlab/Python or relevant programming languages, ArcGIS/QGIS or relevant software. Experience handling large datasets. Knowledge of meteorology.
Salary: INR 21600-1800-54000 per month consolidated (Salary shall be commensurate with experience & skills)
Location of work: Mumbai and partly at IIT Kanpur
Nature of position: Temporary / Contractual
Duration of appointment: 1 Year or till the end of the project (whichever is earlier), renewed annually based on performance
Nature of Work: Oversee and manage networks air quality sensors. Calibrate air quality monitoring devices with US-EPA certified instruments to ensure data accuracy. Innovate and improve calibration techniques to enhance measurement accuracy. Troubleshoot and maintain air quality sensor networks to ensure accurate and reliable air quality data collection. Investigate the distribution patterns of atmospheric pollutants across different time scales and locations. Analyse meteorological data to correlate atmospheric conditions with pollutant levels. Utilize satellite aerosol data for air quality analysis and to validate ground-based measurements. Any other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer.
