International Conference on Communications and Computing

International Conference on Communications and Computing (ICCC-05) was held at IIT Kanpur from Feb.4-6,2005. This conference was jointly by IETE Kanpur Local Centre and IIT kanpur. The Inaugural Session was held on Friday, 4th February 2005 at 3.00 PM, in the Auditorium, IIT Kanpur and was chaired by Prof.S.G.Dhande, Director, IIT Kanpur. The gathering was addressed by the Lt. Gen. D P Sehgal PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd), President IETE. Shri F. C. Kohli, Ex-Dy. Chairman, Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Mumbai was the Guest of Honour and he delivered a keynote address on "IT Revolution in India - An Assessment". Shri Pradip Baijal, Chairman, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, was the Chief Guest. He delivered a keynote address on "Building Enterprising Community". In this session a Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Shri F. C. Kohli. Shri S. K. Gupta, Past Chairman of IETE read the citation of the award and the award was presented to Mr.Kohli by Professor Dhande. Mr. B.K. Karmakar and Mr.S.K.Gupta were the Co-Chairmen, Organizing Committee, while Professor S. G. Dhande, Director IIT Kanpur was the Chairman, Organizing Committee of ICCC-05.
