National Workshop on Electric Power Quality
November 9-10, 2004

The National Workshop on Electric Power Quality was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur and the PES & IAS Joint Chapters of IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section during November 9-10, 2004 in L-15 at IIT Kanpur. Professor D. Kunzru, Dean Research and Development inaugurated the Workshop on 9th November 2004. About 40 participants from Academia Institutions, Industries and State Electricity Board from across the country participated and discussed various issues related to Electric Power Quality. Professor G.K. Dubey Memorial Lecture and IEEE Distinguished Lecture were delivered by Dr. Rao S. Thallam, Senior Principal Engineer, Salt River Project, Phoenix, AZ, USA on 10th November 2004.

The speakers of the Workshop included Dr. Rao S. Thallam, Salt River Project, Phoenix, AZ, USA, Dr. R. Venkatesh from Crompton Greaves, Mr. A. K. Unnikrishnan, Mr. Aby Joseph and Mr. R. Sudeep Kumar from CDAC, Thiruvananthapuram apart from faculty members of Department of Electrical Engineering IIT Kanpur. Dr. P. Sensarma and Dr. S. P. Das were the coordinators of the Workshop.
