Workshop organized by Central Board of Labour Education
A two-day training workshop was organized by Central Board of Labour Education at IITK, on July 21-22, 2004. Professor S. G. Dhande, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur inaugurated the workshop.
Neeraj Srivastava, Education Officer, said that the training camp would re-energize participants and inculcate positive thinking in them. M. G. Maurya, Regional Director of the Board, said that despite boasting of one of the oldest and most developed civilization, Indians were not interested in developing their hidden talent. "This is the reason that the country is regarded as a developing nation," he added. Prof. Kripa Shankar, Deputy Director of IIT Kanpur, said that development of human nature was the primary quality for human resource development and the primary target of the programme was to encourage hidden talent of the laborers and bring their institutions on the top. Gagan Chaturvedi, Joint General Manager (Administration) of the Parachute Factory said that true happiness comes from internal thoughts, relations and success at work. He lamented that people were running here and there in search of happiness.
