Applications are invited for two posts (either Project Scientist (PS) OR Senior Project Associate (SPA) OR Project Associate (PA)) under the project entitled “Photonic crystal based devices for light control” at the Department of Physics, IIT Kanpur.

PS:
Essential qualification: Ph.D (Physics) in the area of experimental optics. Those who have submitted
their thesis can also apply.
Salary: Variable in the range of 22000-2200-44000 depending on the relevant research experience.

SPA:
Essential qualification: First class in M.Sc (Physics) + 2 years of research experience
Desirable qualification: A valid score / pass in GATE / NET (JRF) / CSIR (JRF) examination. Familiarity in optical characterization techniques, nanophotonics experiments, and/or laser experimentation methods will be an advantage.
Salary: Rs. 18,000 per month (consolidated).

PA:
Essential qualification: First class in M.Sc (Physics)
Desirable qualification: A valid score / pass in GATE / NET (JRF) / CSIR (JRF) examination. Familiarity in optical characterization techniques, nanophotonics experiments, and/or laser experimentation methods will be an advantage.
Salary: Rs. 16,000 per month (consolidated).

The posts are temporary. For all posts, the duration of the employment will be one year.
