Applications are invited for a position of Senior Project Scientist in the Ion Beam Complex.

Emoluments : In the range of Rs. 27000 – 2700 – 54000.

The position is temporary for One Year initially, but can be extended further depending on satisfactory performance.

Educational qualification : Ph.D. with at least 5 years experience in handling low / medium energy nuclear accelerators, focused ion-beam system and associated ion beams and their applications to materials research. Experience of installing/developing an equipment/ instrument/software for automation or data acquisition etc. is desirable.

Nature of Work :
Maintenance and operation of the 1.7 MV Tandetron Accelerator and beam lines, including
a microprobe beamline.
Maintenance and operation of the NNL600 FIB system and its accessories.
Implementation of research programs (M.Sc., M.Tech. and Ph.D) in different interconnected disciplines related to ion-beam interaction.
