Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for the STUDENTS’ PLACEMENT OFFICE at IIT Kanpur on purely temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year and can extended on yearly basis (subject to noteworthy performance).

Position : Project Manager (One post)

Salary : Rs.25000-2500-50000 (Consolidated). Higher start may be considered for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates)

Qualification : First class post graduate degree + 8 years relevant experience OR Graduate with 20 years relevant experience OR (CA/ICWA/CS) + 2 years relevant experience of supervisory work in a Govt. office or in educational Institute or in business organization of repute. Exceptional candidates not having required experience will also be considered.

Desirable Experience : The candidate should be able to organize all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the placement office. He should be able to carry out a range of administrative and IT-related tasks, depending on the requirement from time to time, by the Students’ Placement Office, activities would include:

• To call companies and develop a long relationship with them;
• Using a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases;
• Managing filing systems, Developing and implementing record management, Recording office expenditure, Organizing the office layout and maintain supplies of stationary and equipment, Maintaining the condition of the office and arranging for necessary repairs;
• Writing reports and delivering presentations;
• Responding to corporate enquiries and complaints.
• Should have very good communication skill.
