Application is invited for one post of Project Scientist for a sponsored project of the ICMR entitled "Structure-function relationship in a circularly permuted GTPase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis for the development of novel anti- bacterial drug targets" at BSBE Department, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: PhD (At least thesis should be submitted), M.Tech with 4 years of research experience, B.Tech/B.pharm/M.Sc with 5 years of research experience in Molecular biology, Biochemistry & X-ray crystallography.

Desirable: Experience in cloning, expression, protein purification, site-directed mutagenesis, ultracentrifugation & density gradient fractionation and phosphoryl transfer assays. Experience in protein characterization, crystallization and structure determination as part of a project.

Salary Range : Rs. 15,000-30,000 per month

The post is purely temporary for one year.
