Applications are invited from Indian citizens for two posts of Senior Project Associate (SPA) on the project (CDAC-CHM-20100163) sponsored by the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur 208016, with the undersigned as the Principal Investigator (PI). For a period upto June 30, 2011.

Salary Range : Rs. 12,000 -1200-24,000 p.m.

Essential qualifications:
• A first class Master's degree in Physics/Chemistry/Computer Science with 2 years' research experience in theory/computation.
• He/She must be well-versed with ab initio quantum chemical methods scientific visualization packages.
• Should have working knowledge of linear scaling methods in computational chemistry.
• Knowledge of FORTRAN programming and experience in programming is essential.

The job involves development of parallel codes and applications of ab initio methods to large molecules of chemical/biological interest.
