Applications are invited from highly motivated young persons for one post of Project Associate for performing laboratory and field experiments and numerical analysis in the field of Geotechnical Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Post: Project Associate (One)

Project Title: "Investigation on seismic response of two closely placed shallow ground anchors" (DST/CE/20110303)

Minimum Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering

Desirable Qualification: ME/M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering/Structural Engineering. Candidate with background in Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering and with sound knowledge of computer programming (C/C++/Fortran/Matlab) will be preferred.

Nature of Work: Experimental investigation of ground anchors. Numerical analysis of ground anchors under seismic condition.

Salary: Rs. 15,000-1,500-20,000/- per month.

The post is purely temporary, and is for duration of one year and may be extended depending on the requirement. If shortlisted, copies of relevant certificates will be required, and will be checked against original certificates at the time of interview.

Only short-listed applicants will be called for an interview (by first/second week of January, 2013). Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualification and work experience will not be called for the interview. No TA/DA will be given to attend the interview.
