Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate under a IndoSwiss joint research project entitled "Compound Plasmonic nanostructures" funded by the Department of Science and Technology. The position is tenable for one year and extendable until 31 March 2012 only upon satisfactory performance. The Project Associate will undertake computational simulations of photonic and plasmonic systems.

Essential qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics or/ B.Tech/BE in Electrical Engineering. Good computer programming skills are essential. Background in optics/photonics is desirable. NET /GATE scores are desirable. Salary will be in the scale 10000-1000-20000 with medical facilities as permissible. Minimum emoluments will be Rs. 12,000/­ per month.
