OBJECTIVE

This course introduces students to aspects of atmospheric physics and chemistry that are related to air pollution: local and global dispersion of pollutants, global warming, acid rain and ozone hole formation.

BRIEF OUTLINE

Atmospheric chemistry, pressure and temperature distribution, heat budget, precipitation, global wind circulation, tropical weather systems, atmospheric dynamics.
