General Information

Structure and Dynamics of Chemical and Biomolecular Systems is a three-day international symposium from October 26 to October 28, 2023, at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Several eminent theoretical and experimental scientists working in this area will attend this symposium. The conference will be held in the picturesque campus of IIT Kanpur. In addition to speakers and invited participants, the conference will also be open to student participation and poster presentations. Information about the detailed program of the conference, the speakers and the arrangements will be posted soon.

Registration for SDCBS23

Those who are keen to participate in the SCDBS23 may fill the pre-registration form below. The participants who want to present a poster will be asked to submit abstracts (as a .docx file). The accepted participants and poster presenters will be invited to register for the conference. Note that since the number of available slots for participants is limited due to constraints at the venue and the accommodation.


The selected students/postdocs list will be released on July 10, 2023. Final Registration for the conference will be open from July 10-July 25, 2023. The registration fees will be paid during that time

The conference registration is only for the invited participants and the participants whose poster presentation is accepted for the conference. Last Date of Registration is July 30, 2023.

Registration fees in INR is as follows. 18% GST will be applicable for all the participants who do not belong to IIT Kanpur.

How to Reach IIT Kanpur

Arrival by Air: Kanpur is mostly served by the airport of the city of Kanpur and Lucknow. Kanpur Airport and Lucknow Airport are 1 hour and 2 hour 30 minutes drive from IIT Kanpur, respectively. IIT Kanpur is also reachable by train; nearest railway station is Kanpur Central. Prepaid taxi service is available from the airports and railway station.


Arrival by Train: IIT Kanpur is located at a distance of about 16 kilometers from the Kanpur Central Railway Station. It is possible to hire taxis (about Rs. 350) and auto rickshaws (about Rs.220) to IITK from the station. It takes about 40 minutes to an hour to drive from Kanpur Central railway station to IIT Kanpur.
