INTRODUCTION

Theme of the Programme: Application of Nanotechnology in Plant Growth and Crop Protection for Sustainable Agriculture
Sponsoring Organization: African Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO)
Training Institute (Host): Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
Duration: 13-23 November, 2024

Introduction

Revolutionizing Agriculture: Drones are introducing transformative solutions for improving crop productivity, resource management, and sustainable practices in agriculture.

Precision and Real-Time Insights: Equipped with advanced imaging and data capabilities, drones enable precise chemical application, crop health monitoring, and real-time decision support.

Program Overview: This training program aims to equip participants with foundational skills in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) technology and its applications within the agricultural sector.

Background

Agricultural Challenges: The sector faces issues such as climate variability, resource scarcity, and the need for sustainable practices to ensure food security.

Drones as a Solution: Drones address these challenges by:

Bridging the Skills Gap: Many in the agricultural community lack the knowledge to use drones effectively. This program offers training to bridge this gap, empowering participants to leverage drone technology
