  • Bonding models

  • Chemical forces

  • Acids and Bases Main Group Chemistry

  • Chemistry of selective main group elements and their compounds Transition Metal Chemistry

  • Types of legends, Structure and isomerism of transition metal complexes, Bonding in transition metal complexes Valence Bond, Crystal Field and Molecular Orbital theories, effects of orbital splitting

  • Organo-metallic compounds: EAN rule, metal carbonyls, metal olefins, reactions of organo-metallic compounds

  • Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Catalysis Lanthanide Chemistry

  • Chemistry of block elements: special features, lanthanide contraction, co-ordination number, structure and reactions.
