General Facilities at Structural Engineering Lab

The General Facilities at Structural Engineering Laboratory at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur are covered by a large veriety of facilities such as Structural Strong Floor and Reaction Frames, Loading Devices and Servo Controllers, Instrumentation and Data Acquisition Systems, ConctreHanding Facilities and Measurement of Concrete / Masonry Properties, and various static and dynamic loadings.

 

Structural Strong Floor and Reaction Frames

  • Double box type of structural testing floor of size 20m x 8.5m designed to carry reversal of loads (180 kN in tension/compression) at every 0.5 m spacing in both directions.
  • Reaction frames for 250 kN vertical loads and 2000 kN lateral load and 6000 kNm moment.
