11 February 2023: Signed up with the IGBC, the CII - Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), to open a student chapter at IIT Kanpur.

We have taken the first step towards sustainability. With buildings being the highest energy consumption parameter for the campus, focusing on the energy efficiency of buildings is essential. As one of the initial actions in this line, we have signed up with the IGBC, the CII - Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), to open a student chapter at IIT Kanpur. We had an insightful session with IGBC National Chairman, Mr Gurmeet Arora, where we discussed common behavioral changes, we need and aspire to towards a sustainable campus.
