What?

As part of our Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the institute organized an Open House event in which senior students (standard 9th to 12th) from various schools in and around Kanpur were invited to visit IIT Kanpur campus on Saturday, 25th January 2020 to get a glimpse of educational and research activities on the campus.

Why?

The main goal of the Open House was to motivate senior school students towards science and technology careers. The event provided them an excellent opportunity to visit a premier educational and research institute, directly interact with faculty and students, and get a quick overview of the educational facilities and research activities across various disciplines through demonstrations and interactive sessions. We certainly enjoyed interacting with these young minds, and sincerely hope that the experience generated enthusiasm towards STEM disciplines.
