Applications are invited for the posts of Assistant Project Manager in the project “PES”, IIT Kanpur

Duration of appointment: Maximum One year from the date of appointment (Extendable based on the performance)

Nature of Work: The work is related to administrative and accounting in nature. The appointment is purely contractual and the duration of the contract is for an initial period of one year or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier and the renewal is based on satisfactory performance.

Essential Qualifications and Post Qualification Experience:

Post Graduate (MBA / MCA / M. Com / M. Sc / MA)

Or

Graduate (BA /B.Sc /B.Com /BBA /BCA /LLB) + 3 Yrs. relevant experience of related department in a govt. office or in educational institute or in business organization of repute.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Diploma/PG Diploma in computer applications
  • Knowledge of financial accounting package i.e. Tally, ERP Package etc.
  • Mandatory proficiency in computer applications including the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with spreadsheet management.
  • Good knowledge of Database Management System (DBMS)/Management Information System (MIS)
  • Familiarity with sports-related inventory systems or record maintenance portals.
  • Good knowledge of office procedures, record management and correspondence handling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective internal and external correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly organized, methodical and possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous work experience in a similar administrative or office support role.
  • Experience in handling official correspondence (Dak) and filing systems.
  • Experience in office administration, inventory management or clerical work in an educational institute or reputed organization.

Job responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the systematic handling of incoming and outgoing mail (Dak) for the office.
  • Responsible for the efficient indexing, filing and organization of all physical and digital office files.
  • Maintaining and updating the department's inventory portal, specifically tracking records for various sports items.
  • Executing data entry tasks and maintaining records using Excel, Word, spreadsheets and other relevant software.
  • Tracking and ensuring the follow-up on all files sent to other offices within and outside the institute for timely processing.
  • Organizing, processing and securely maintaining the records of all departmental bills and vouchers.
  • Assisting in the updation and maintenance of the records related to the various sports facilities under the department.
