Applications are invited for two posts of Assistant Coach in the project “PES”, IIT Kanpur

Duration of appointment: Maximum One year from the date of appointment (Extendable based on the performance)

Salary Range: ₹ 29000-2400-72200

Essential Qualification:

M.P.Ed. + 1 year of sports specific coaching experience

or

B.P.Ed. + 2 years of sports specific coaching experience

Desirable:

• Candidate should have certification from
  • ACE India: Personal Trainer/ Group Fitness Instructor or
  • Indian Association of Fitness Professional (IAFP): Personal Trainer/ Group Fitness Instructor or
  • Talwalkars Certified Personal Trainer (TCPT) certification or
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) India: Certified Personal Trainer/ Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
• Candidate should have participation in National or State Level or All India Inter University participation in Bodybuilding or Powerlifting sports
• Candidate should have sound knowledge in conducting the fitness/ Gym classes.
• 3-5 years of gym training experience.
• Knowledge of gym machineries and equipment and its maintenance.
• Knowledge of diet plan or Nutritional course certificate.

• Candidate should have knowledge of medical exercise which can improve the health of every individual.
• Higher experience will be considered as an added advantage.
• Fluency in both Hindi and English (read, write and verbal communication).

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with gym members in guiding and monitoring their daily exercise routines.
• Provide support and guidance on fitness and health-related activities, including machine-based workouts, isometrics exercises and body sculpting program.

Note: - The Selection will be based on interview and displaying the skill set on Gym Machines. Only the shortlisted candidates will be informed by email/phone about the date of interview. The institute reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting eligible candidates, satisfying the essential and desirable qualifications and experiences. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview (if called).
