Prof. V. Shankar, Department of Chemical Engineering specialises in the field of Stability of fluid flows; Flow past soft solid surfaces; Electrokinetics and Electrohydrodynamics; Viscoelastic flows. He has elected as Associate, Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore for the period 2004-07 and was awarded INSA Medal for Young Scientist for the year 2004, INAE Young Engineer Award for the year 2006, Diamond Jubilee Young Achiever's Award of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, October 2007 and Arakere Vasudeva Young Faculty Research Fellowship from IIT Kanpur for three years (2010-2013). He graduated from Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi in 1993 and completed ME and PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1995 and 2000 respectively.
Prof. Yogesh Singh Chauhan, Department of Electrical Engineering, specializes in the field of Compact Modelling, and his research interests are in the fields of Nanoelectronics Compact modeling of semiconductor devices, SPICE Modelling of High Voltage/Power Semiconductor Devices, BSIM model development and support, Atommistic Simulation of Nanoscale Devices. He is IEEE, USA, Fellow (2021) and recipient of Swarn Jayanti Fellowship (2018), Humboldt Fellowship (2018). He earned his doctorate from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland (2007).
