An alumni or group of alumni can choose an existing (or upcoming) Lab/Facility to be named by donating half of its cost. The Institute will pay for the other half. Some of the building such as ‘69/80 Outreach Building’ Pioneer Batch Continuing Education Centre’ (PBCEC), ‘Park-67’ and some departmental buildings/facilities have been named after the alumni batches. Recently ‘Yoga & Aerobic Hall’ has been named after alumni Class of 1972.
New Faculty Club: A new faculty club will provide a truly recreational and social place for enjoying the campus life of IIT Kanpur.
A corpus of Rs. 3 Crores would facilitate
building a new Faculty Club.

nanofabrication facility where 30+ students and researchers may work together:
(The cost of the building ( 2 levels) with around 4000
square feet Lab area would be approximately Rs. 2 crore.)

Naming of basketball / TT court in new SAC: The cost for this facility will be approximately Rs 213 lakhs.
Naming of badminton courts in new SAC:
The cost for this facility will be approximately Rs 159 lakhs.

cost for this facility will be approximately Rs 41 lakhs.
Naming of billiards / pool hall in new SAC: The cost for
this facility will be approximately Rs 44 lakhs.
Creating an indoor swimming pool along with a toddlers pool:
The cost for this facility will be approximately Rs 150 lakhs.
