E-CELL

Entrepreneurship is not just about starting-up and thriving a business. It is as much about taking risks, snapping at opportunities and evolving through mistakes as it is about making money. Borrowing from the title of Reid Hoffman's popular book, E-Cell wants 'you' to make a 'Startup of You' as it believes that youngsters build their lives like they build startups. Energising and enthusing the student community with entrepreneurial zeal, and empowering them to think out of the box, create, innovate and deliver, since 2009.

Startup Internship Program (SIP)
The program is geared towards providing the students a first-hand experience of working in start-ups as interns. Since October 2010, the number of start-ups registered for the program has increased from 9 to 100.

Campus Entrepreneurs Group
It is a forum envisaged to tie together a plethora of activities undertaken by student entrepreneurs in the campus thus enabling a healthy exchange of ideas, experiences, insights and challenges of the domain. Entrepreneurial Bites are mini-conferences over coffee presided over by the visiting alumni or entrepreneurs; Campus Hangouts ensure that our entrepreneurs do not miss any sessions; Mentor Connect is another initiative that opens doors to the corporate.

eSummit
eSummit is the annual flagship event intended towards building an enterprising young community that constantly adds innovative ventures to the Indian startup ecosystem. The event brings together the academic community, new age entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and all those passionate about entrepreneurship under one roof. The theme for this year’s summit was held in september 2017 ‘Seeding the Impact’.

Prime’83
Promote Research, Innovation, Mentoring, and Entrepreneurship is one of the most ambitious undertakings of the E-cell. Launched in November 2012, the program calls for innovative and scalable projects by students who are then mentored and awarded a grant, if shortlisted. The idea was conceived by the 1983 IITK batch.
