Office of Health Centre

Applications are invited for four positions of “Consultant” (MO’s) and one position for “Project Manager” at Health Centre, IIT Kanpur.

1. Consultant (MO’s)

Salary Range:
Rs. 35,000 - 3,500 - 70,000

Essential Qualification:
MBBS, including completion of compulsory rotating internship, followed by at least 3 years of experience in a recognized hospital, OR Post-Graduate Diploma in an appropriate branch of Medicine plus at least one year experience in a recognized hospital, OR MD, or MS, in an appropriate branch of Medicine. (MCI recognition is mandatory).

Desirable:
Post Graduate qualification, MD, Diploma/Degree in Medicine/Paediatrics/ Tuberculosis and Chest diseases and Family Medicine (MCI recognition is mandatory). Computer literacy is highly desirable

Job Responsibilities:
To attend to OPD patients, emergencies and vaccination clinic, to perform rotating shift duties including Night Shift and also to perform any other duties and responsibilities entrusted

2. Project Manager

Salary Range:
Rs. 20,000 - 2,000 - 40,000

Essential Qualification:
Graduation from a recognised University, with 15 years of job experience in the medical field.

Desirable:
Graduation in Science Stream, should have sound knowledge of Medical Field. (working of the hospitals and insurance schemes, bill settlement, handling of causalities, emergencies etc.), experience in liaison work with reputed companies.

Job Responsibilities:
Need to work in close contact with the Health centre and various hospitals and Specialists on the panel of the Institute for the treatment of the patients referred from Health Centre.

Should be able to attend and sort the billing problems.

Attending to various medical needs of patients and medical requirements with regard to their treatment during hospitalisation.
Should be able to sort the bottlenecks during hospitalisation of the referred patients.(Faculty, staff their dependents and students)
As when required, should be able to liaison with the State Government authorities relating to the health matters of the Institute Employees and students.

Should provide relevant data, as desired, for the evaluating and understanding the medical scheme of the institute for taking any corrective measures by the institute.

Candidates with good liaison/contacts with major hospitals in Kanpur city may be preferred.

The post is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is initially for one year. Only short-listed applicants will be called for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualification and work experience will not be called for the interview.
