Applications are invited to work on a DRDO sponsored Project entitled “ICME for near alpha Ti-alloy blisks with dual microstructure” for the post of “Project Post Doctoral Fellow” in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kanpur with details as given below.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field from reputed institute/university
Required Experience and skills:
- Strong background in fracture mechanics with expertise in mechanical testing (Tensile/Fatigue-HCF/LCF)
- Hands on experience with SEM/EBSD/TEM analysis and results interpretation
- Expertise in 2D/3D DIC analysis.
- Expertise in Finite element analysis or Crystal plasticity simulation.
- Prior experience with Titanium material
Salary Range: ₹ 60000-5000-85000 per month.

Term of Appointment: The appointment for the above post initially will be for one year, and extendable if performance of the candidate is good. The appointment will be purely on a temporary and contractual basis.
