Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Sr. Project Associate under the project entitled “Modelling and Simulation Studies on Development of Laser Ablation on Resistive Materials” at Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kanpur.
Number of positions: Two
Minimum Qualification: B.Tech + 1 year relevant experience Or Post graduate + 1 years relevant experience Or Graduate + 4 years relevant experience.
Desirable Qualification: B.Tech./M.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Material Science and Engineering with 1 year experience.
Desirable Expertise:
Position 1: Computation fluid dynamics; COMSOL; Finite Element Method.
Position 2: Molecular dynamics; LAMMPS/Quantum ATK; Ceramics.
Nature of work:
Position 1: COMSOL based analysis involving coupled Navier-Stokes, heat transfer and level set equations.
Position 2: Molecular dynamics simulations of ceramics such as alumina, etc. to evaluate temperature dependent thermal and mechanical properties.
Salary: Rs. 25900-2100-63700/- (Approximate starting salary 40,000)
Term of Appointment: One year or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
