Applications are invited for one post of Project Mechanic in a project IITK/BSBE/2026173 at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, IIT Kanpur. The appointment is purely temporary & on contractual basis.

Name of the Post: Project Mechanic

Salary Range: Rs. 10000-900-26200 (consolidated)

Actual salary will depend on qualification and experience.

Minimum Qualification: High school + 5 years of relevant experience

Number of position: One (01)

Desirable Qualification: The candidate should have strong experience in breeding of mosquitoes in a lab. At least five years of experience in a biology lab, including familiarity with common biological equipment (such as auto-clave and hot-oven) and animal breeding is highly desirable.

Only short-listed applicants will be called for an interview whose date and time will be intimated by email or phone. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualification and work experience will not be called for the interview. The department reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualifications and experience. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
