Applications are invited for one post of Project Scientist in a project DBT/BSBE/2015335 at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, IIT Kanpur. The appointment is purely temporary & on contractual basis.

Name of the Post: Project Scientist

Salary Range: Rs. 22000-2200-44000 (consolidated)

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. in Biology with experience in insect genetics and development. Practical experience in mosquito-handling and CRISPR/Cas-9 based genetic modifications is highly desirable. Candidate should have a first author publication in a reputed international journal. Preference will be given to candidates with PhD from IITs and IISERs.

Only short-listed applicants will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualification and work experience will not be called for the interview.
