Applications are invited for one Project Associate-I in an ANRF-sponsored project "Efficient Exploration of Free Energy Surfaces: New Methods and Algorithms" by Dr. Nisanth N. Nair (Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur).

The work involves biomolecular modeling using a molecular mechanics force field, performing free-energy calculations, and employing enhanced sampling techniques.

We are looking for talented candidates with an interest in molecular modeling of biomolecular systems and strong programming skills.

The appointment is purely temporary and on a contractual basis.

Essential Qualification:

Master’s in Chemistry/Physics/Biology/Biochemistry OR B.Tech in Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge in modeling biomolecular systems
• Knowledge of molecular dynamics simulations
• Knowledge in Python or other programming languages

Salary: Rs. 37,000* + 20% HRA (as per institute norms) for CSIR-UGC NET or GATE qualified candidates
Rs. 30,000 *+ 20% HRA (as per institute norms)
(*as per ANR norms)

Duration of the post: 1 year (may be extended based on satisfactory performance).
