Advertisement for Project Vacancy of Technician (Project Technician) - at IIT Kanpur
Applications are invited for the post of Technician (Project Technician) - One in a DRDO Industry-Academia Centre of Excellence at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Position: Technician (Project Technician) - ONE
Minimum Qualification: Diploma (3 years duration)/Graduate degree in appropriate discipline OR
ITI (2 years duration) in relevant field with 6 years relevant work experience
Desirable: B.Sc + 4 years of relevant experience Or 3 years Engg. Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience Or High School+ ITI+ 9 years of relevant experience.
Exposure to materials science and engineering related equipment will be preferred.

Work Experience: Should have working experience in handling material-processing related equipment in laboratory/ research environment. Must have operated various equipment, such as furnace, compression/cutting machines, and should be well versed with sample preparation, polishing, etc. Should have working knowledge of maintenance and repair of the lab equipment. Working knowledge of word file, excel sheet and presentation is preferred. Person should be aware of Lab safety norms and maintaining equipment usage records.
Salary Range: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA (with 3% yearly increment).
The post is purely temporary and is for a duration of 01 Year + Provision of 2 extension or end of the Project whichever is earlier.
