The requirement is for a Post-Doctoral Fellow for the field installation of wind and solar hybrid system and Energy Technology laboratory setup at Ladakh. Additionally, the position will also involve handling all the admissions, administrative, record-keeping, student liaisoning, and related work of Sindhu Central University (SCU) students placed at IIT Kanpur. The position is currently till March 31, 2029.

Remuneration will be as per IIT Kanpur norms and the candidate’s experience.

The job profile involves:

Wind – Solar hybrid field laboratory setup at Ladakh
Plans, schedules, supervises and participates in the day-to-day activities & overseeing the admissions and SCU office, which performs various functions related to student registration and class enrollment, attendance, grade management, result generation, transfers, graduation requirement, graduation, and various student forms.
To liaise with the institute’s DOAA, DOSA, hostel, health centre, and other related office staff.
To liaise with other external institutes and agencies involved with SCU.
Provide support in creating documents as required by SCU.
To interpret SCU policies, rules and regulations, and operational procedures.
Answers inquiries and investigates and resolves non-routine problems related to registration, enrollment, fee assessments, residency, and other related areas.
To assist in the coordination of any off-campus admissions and registration.
To utilize standard office software applications to compile data and prepare reports and correspondence concerning student admissions and records matters.
Utilises specialized computer application programs for applications, electronic transcripts, and degree audits.
Setting up an energy technology laboratory at Ladakh.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D* from a reputed university /institute in Mechanical /Aerospace/Electrical or Energy Technology and an excellent track record and publication /patents in a research area relevant to the project.

Necessary attributes:

Knowledge in wind & hydro-turbines, force measurement, flow visualization and wind tunnel measurement & particle image velocimetry.
Good written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and I collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
Takes ownership of all responsibilities and honours commitments
Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals
Good knowledge of MS-office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Age Limit: Max 40 years.

Salary Range: 60000-5000-85000

Related work experience: > 2 years.
