Project Associate Position in the domain of Synthetic Biology

Applications are invited for one position of Project Associate-I to join the Dynamics and Control Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. The position is purely contractual in nature.

Minimum Academic Qualification

MSc/MTech degree in Bioscience or Biotechnology or related fields + at least one year of laboratory experience

Or

BSc/BTech degree in Bioscience or Biotechnology or related fields + at least three years of research experience.

Desirable experience

1. Proficient in Molecular Biology Laboratory Techniques: Cloning (3A, Gibson, Golden Gate), Plasmid Isolation, Transformation, Gel Electrophoresis, PCR.
2. Should have experience in operating Plate Reader, Fluorescence microscopy, qPCR.
3. Working knowledge of Bioinformatic tools: BLAST, Snapgene
4. Basic idea about construction of a genetic circuit
5. Hands on experience on working with coli
6. Should have a proven ability to carry out research.

Salary: 21600-1800-54000 INR + HRA
