Position: Senior Project Engineer, Gangwal School of Medical Science and Technology, IIT Kanpur.

We are looking for dynamic and motivated candidates with strong interests and/or experience in medical device development to work towards the development of percutaneous circulatory support devices and allied systems.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  1. Ph.D. (or nearing completion) /M.E. or M.Tech. with 3 years experience or B.Tech. + 5 years experience in Electrical/Electronics engineering
  2. Motor design, FEA analysis of design using Ansys/Comsol, prototype development/packaging and testing
  3. Power converter design and hardware implementation
  4. Experience in MATLAB and SPICE simulation
  5. Strong C coding skills
  6. Hands-on experience in PCB design, with a preference for hardware experience.

Desirable qualifications:

  1. Experience in medical device development and knowledge of biomedical product lifecycle.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a dynamic group.

Term of Appointment:  9 months (can be extended)

Salary Range:

INR 38800-3200-96400 pm (consolidated). A higher starting salary may be considered for exceptionally qualified/experienced candidates as per IITK Rules.

Candidates with lower qualifications than mentioned above can also apply. If selected, they will be offered positions lower than Senior Project Engineer.
