Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate to work in the project “Development of a novel underwater welding process for defect free joints using in-situ imaging and machine learning". The qualification and experience requirements for the above-mentioned post are:

Designation: Research Associate

Number of positions: One

Essential Qualification: PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Material science. ME/MTech (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, and Material science or any related branch, with at least three (03) years of research experience after completion of ME/MTech and at least one research paper in SCI-indexed journal, may also apply.

Desirable:

  • PhD and/or MTech/ME degree from a reputed university/institute with an excellent academic record will be preferred
  • Experience in Welding/Underwater welding will be preferred.
  • Experience in computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, good communication skills

Salary: Rs.58,000/- PM + HRA (If the candidate stays outside campus,)

Duration of Appointment: The position is purely temporary, initially for one year, and it can be extended further based on performance till the duration of the project.
