Position: Senior Project Engineer, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

We are looking for dynamic and motivated candidates with strong interest and/or experience in medical device development to work towards the development of percutaneous circulatory support devices and allied systems.

Essential qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech. + 3 years relevant experience or B.Tech. + 5 years relevant experience.
  2. Experience in conceptualization, design, and conduct of experiments, and data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
  3. Research and/or product design and development experience with focus on the broad areas of fluid mechanics and fluid-structure interaction OR manufacturing engineering and fabrication of biomedical and microfluidic devices.
  4. Proficient in the use of analysis tools/softwares such as COMSOL, Ansys, and Solidworks

Desirable qualifications:

  1. Experience in medical device development and knowledge of biomedical product lifecycle.
  2. Experience in machining and additive manufacturing.
  3. Experience in LabView programming
  4. Hands-on experience in micro-controller programming, C/C++ with a preference for hardware experience
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a dynamic group.

Term of Appointment:  1 year (extendable based on performance)

Salary Range:

INR 38800-3200-96400 pm (consolidated). Candidates with lower/higher qualifications than mentioned above can also apply. If selected, they will be offered positions commensurate with their qualification and performance in the interview.
