Applications are invited for a temporary & contractual post of Project Scientist under the project entitled “Third Generation Super Omniphobic Foul Release Marine Coating For Water-Borne Vehicles” at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: PhD OR Postgraduate with + 3 Yrs. of laboratory Experience

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• M. Tech / M. Sc in Materials Science and Engineering / Metallurgy / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology
• At least 3 years of laboratory experience in at least two of the following nanomaterials synthesis, electrochemical corrosion studies, cell culture studies, and anti-microbial studies
• Hands-on experience on characterization of samples using electron microscopy, X-ray Diffraction, fluorescence spectroscopy, Raman, UV-Vis and XPS
• Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Microsoft Publisher, MS Outlook, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Autocad, Canva, InDesign, LabView, and Website Design using HTML, CSS, and PHP along with their advance tools such as mail merge.

Salary: Rs. 31600/- per month (consolidated salary) + HRA

Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
