Applications are invited for one post of Senior Project Engineer in an IMPRINT project titled, “Investigation of the Microstructural, Thermal and Mechanical Properties of Polypropylene, Polyethylene and Polyurethane”in the Department of Materials Sciences & Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. OR (M. Tech. + 3 years experience)

Work Experience:
The applicant must have a strong background and knowledge on processing of polymers (including compression molding, calendaring, extrusion, etc). Also, the applicant must have sound understanding of thermal-, and mechanical- properties. Applicant should have good expertise on the microstructural and phase characterization. Applicant should also be acquainted with sample sectioning, mounting, and polishing. Working knowledge of computer-based office applications (MS Office, etc.) is also necessary.

Position: Senior Project Engineer

Salary: Rs. 27,000 - 2,700 – 54,000
